The most down to earth saree with vibrant colours are seen in the traditional Ilkal sarees. Ilkal is a small town that is located in the south east part of Bagalkote district, Karnataka.
 
Body is pure cotton with a silk Pallu in the topi teni technique. The border is Gomi Teni Border.  The length of the saree is 6.4 meters.
